A virtual play, celebrating the unsung heroes of suffrage, 'Finish the Fight' finally gave voices to the overlooked Black, Latinx, queer, immigrant, and indigenous fighters who won women the right to vote, setting precedence for gender equality in the United States.

Produced by the New York Times during the pandemic, Finish the Fight was a new kind of journalism, which allowed diverse historical figures to tell history in their own voices. To aid in this effort, Special Operations was tasked with the challenge of creating visually compelling content within the confines of the lockdown. Our solution was to install remote access apps onto phones that were capable of capturing 4K footage and to

prepare LED light panels, a USB lavalier mic, and a large black backdrop for the actors, who had no choice but to record themselves at home. Through a combination of sound design, creative lighting, and editing, we brought Ming Pfeiffer’s script and Whitney White’s directorial vision to life and showed the world how to finish the fight.
