From early pandemic Internet Show, to millions of views, countless press hits, two epic segments during the historic inauguration of President Biden and VP Harris and even a 6 Episode TV Show Deal with BET, The “Pass the Mic” Party just keeps on rolling.
In the face of adversity in March 2020, our longtime collaborator, DJ Cassidy wanted to bring intimate performances from legendary artists into people’s living rooms. It was a juggle of using the limited equipment artists had on hand, adjusting to their level of technological knowledge and working around the many drawbacks of Remote Video Capture to produce a humble yet authentically joyful series where people could forget their fears, sorrow and worries for a thirty minute sing along.
Since that time we’ve captured DJ Cassidy singing along with over 190 of Musics Greats on over 130 time-cherished songs. What started on Zoom has morphed into traveling around the globe shooting some of Music’s most iconic personalities. Earth, Wind, & Fire, Missy Elliot, LL Cool J, Nile Rodgers, Akon, Gladys Knight, Ozuna, Sean Paul, and Musiq Soulchild just to name a few.

Along with producing, shooting,and technical direction, we also ran Post Production across the series which included Edit, Motion Graphics, Sound Mix, Color Correction and Network Delivery.
As a studio, it was an honor to help document Pass the Mic’s priceless moments at a peculiar time in history and partake in an expansive project that collaborated with musical heroes and also stood behind the heroes of health and justice that fought through the worst of the pandemic.
What started out as a seed of an idea, really has taken on a life of its own.
